Screening of Ray Zahab's Film: 'Running The Sahara'
Friday, July 27; 6 pm - 8 pm; Open to ages 11 and up

What does it take to make the impossible possible? The Osgoode Youth Association (O-YA) proudly presents a lecture by world renowned motivational speaker and inspirational marathon runner Ray Zahab (http://rayzahab.com). Zahab is a global explorer who gained worldwide recognition for running across the Sahara desert to raise awareness for the drinking water crisis in North Africa.

In 2008, Ray founded impossible2Possible (i2P;
http://impossible2possible.com/home), an organization that aims to inspire and educate youth through adventure, learning and inclusion and participation in expeditions. Hear how he continues to make the impossible possible through spreading the message that we are all capable of the extraordinary in our lives and that in fact, the impossible is possible.

After Ray’s presentation, O-YA will be screening the film, "Running the Sahara" (
http://www.runningthesahara.com/) Narrated by Academy Award winner Matt Damon and directed by Academy Award winner James Moll: A small film crew tracks 3 runners (including Ray Zahab) in a quest to ‘run the Sahara’ that lasted 111 days and took the
runners through 6 countries; fighting through injury and extreme fatigue to reach their goal, which changed them forever. Please note, the Film Screening is for ages 11 and up.
